Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

Phrase by Phrase

With each decade comes change...fashion, music, electronics and simple everyday sayings that at the time just catch on for really no unknown reason. These may come from entertainers or movie lines with not much thought being put into how the same things are being said but quite differently. The intended meaning is indeed the same. With a flashback in time, let's relive some of the conversational phrases and famous movie lines of past decades. Interesting enough is the decline in the usage of the number of words as the decades progress.
