Welcome to Awakenings

Life IS history in the making. Every word we say, everything we do becomes history the moment it is said or done. Life void of memories leaves nothing but emptiness. For those who might consider history boring, think again: It is who we are, what we do and why we are here. We are certainly individuals in our thoughts and deeds but we all germinated from seeds planted long, long ago.

In the Name of Sacrifice...

At some point in time, you have had or perhaps will have your heart pierced by separation from a loved one, this may be a distance separation or a life ending separation. Your bleeding is not blood from wounds inflicted by daggers of war but rather a bleeding heart. Flowing tears release the pain and sorrow weighing heavily on your heart and mind.

America's freedom was earned, and is still maintained, in the name of sacrifice. It is the Heart of America! Not given or received totally free, it comes at a price, a very high price: personal sacrifice, sacrifice of family and friends. These occurrences are not limited to yesteryear, that which is recorded as history, but are prevalent today and on into the tomorrows yet to come.

Let us be thankful to our nation's Veterans for their service! Set aside a few moments now, tomorrow and every day thereafter in recognition and appreciation of those who sacrificed and are sacrificing every day ensuring the rights and freedoms in America will be protected for generations to come. The fight to maintain freedom is not just for today, it is for America's future.
We have come far; suffered much; gained, lost, regained;
let it not all be in vain.

 "The willingness of America's veterans to sacrifice for our country has earned them our lasting gratitude." - Jeff Miller

Military ♥ Honor, Duty, Love, Sacrifice ♥

 On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, the signing of the armistice went into effect, which ended the World War I hostilities between the Allied nations and Germany.

Veterans Day! As you prepare for and/or participate in Veterans Day, know the true meaning behind this day and the difference between Memorial Day and Veterans Day. While they both pay tribute and honor our military, each has its own significant purpose.
